The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” here the agency said.
